W J Lambert was founded by Bill Lambert in 1964. The company moved to its present location at Balderton Sawmills in 1978 where its primary function was to cut timber for the pallet and fencing industry. It was by accident that Bill got involved in the manufacture of fencing panels but the company quickly developed a name for producing good quality panels at a competitive rate. In 1987 Bill was joined by son-in law Ian Walker to create the company W J Lambert & Co and together they have built up a reputation amongst the trade as providing a reliable and efficient service. Although we no longer cut our own timber we source good quality materials from suppliers who we have been dealing with for many years. So whatever your requirement you can be certain that it will be produced to the highest quality and at a realistic rate.

In addition to manufacturing fencing, the company has expanded its timber product range to include Apex and Pent roofed Garden Sheds. An erection service is offered by skilled and friendly personnel and we try and accommodate delivery times to suit our customers.

In 2006 W J Lambert & Co became a limited company.

Although dealing primarily with the trade, W J Lambert & Co Ltd is more than happy to supply to the public and welcome any enquiries. All callers will be dealt with in a friendly and courteous manner by Clare, whether it is by telephone or in person.

The company has been a processor of waste paper from the day it was founded and it was because Bill wanted to expand this side of the business that the premises at Balderton were acquired. Although concentrating on the heavier side of paper processing (we cut, shread and bale 2.5 tonne reels) the company is always willing to accept waste card and paper to process and put back into the paper chain. No charge is made for this service and we welcome anyone calling into us during normal opening hours.
